Receipts into Google Sheets, from a photo.
InvoiceSnap reads your receipts and gives you a spreadsheet file with one row per receipt. Import it into Google Sheets and the amounts arrive as numbers you can sum, filter and chart. There's nothing to install in Sheets and no access to your Google account to grant.
What you get
| Vendor | Date | Category | Subtotal | Tax | Total | Currency | VAT 19% | VAT 7% |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Café Lindner | 2026-04-14 | Meals | 11.50 | 2.19 | 13.69 | EUR | 2.19 | |
| Stadtmarkt | 2026-04-15 | Groceries | 23.40 | 2.12 | 25.52 | EUR | 0.76 | 1.36 |
| Nordbahn | 2026-04-17 | Travel | 40.00 | 2.80 | 42.80 | EUR | 2.80 |
What lands in your sheet: one row per receipt, with the VAT for each rate in its own column.
How it works
- 01
Scan your receipts
Take a photo in the browser or drop in JPG, PNG, HEIC or PDF files, up to 50 at a time. Check the amounts and fix anything flagged before you export.
- 02
Download Excel (.xlsx)
The .xlsx stores amounts as numbers, so they come through whatever locale your Google Sheets file uses.
- 03
Import it into Google Sheets
In Sheets, choose File → Import → Upload and pick the file. "Insert new sheet(s)" adds it as a new tab in the spreadsheet you have open.
Why it fits
No add-on, no permissions
InvoiceSnap never asks for access to your Google account or Drive. You upload the file yourself.
Numbers, not text
SUM, filters, pivot tables and charts work straight away, shown with commas or points as your sheet's locale sets.
A tab per month
Import each month's export as a new sheet, then total the VAT columns across the tabs.
Line items on a second sheet
Turn on line items and the .xlsx gets a "Line items" sheet listing every item, linked to its receipt by a reference.
Questions
- Is this a Google Sheets add-on?
- No. There's nothing to install and nothing to connect: you download a file and import it.
- Can I use CSV instead?
- Yes. The CSV follows your browser's region (semicolons and decimal commas in most of Europe), so it imports cleanly into a sheet with the same locale. The .xlsx works with any locale.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes. Scan in your phone's browser, download the .xlsx, and open it in the Google Sheets app.
- How much does it cost?
- 5 scans a month are free, with no account. After that, credit packs start at €4 for 20 scans and never expire. There's no subscription.
