Use InvoiceSnap in your AI assistant

Drop receipt photos into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor and ask for a spreadsheet. The assistant reads the receipts; InvoiceSnap checks the totals, splits VAT per rate and builds the Excel, CSV, Xero or QuickBooks file. Free, no account.

Connect it

Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app)

  1. Open Customize → Connectors, then + Add → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it InvoiceSnap, paste the address above, and choose no sign-in.
  3. In a chat, click + → Connectors and switch InvoiceSnap on.

ChatGPT

  1. Add a custom MCP server (in Plugins, + → Add custom MCP server) with the address above and no authentication.
  2. In a new chat, type @ and pick InvoiceSnap.

Whether you can add custom servers depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings, and the menu names change from time to time.

You get the totals per currency and VAT rate in the chat, warnings where a receipt doesn't add up, and a download link. The link opens a page on getinvoicesnap.com that builds the file in your browser.

What the tools do

  • Build a receipt spreadsheet: Excel (.xlsx), CSV (comma or European semicolon style), or Xero and QuickBooks bank import files. One VAT column per rate, net derived from total minus VAT, optional conversion to one currency at the ECB rate of each receipt's date. Up to 200 receipts per call.
  • Convert at the ECB rate: the European Central Bank reference rate for a currency on a date.
  • Scan on the website: a link to the InvoiceSnap scanner, for photos the assistant can't read well or big piles. It reads photos and PDFs itself (5 free scans a month, no account).

What happens to your receipts

  • Your photos go to your assistant, not to us. The assistant sends InvoiceSnap only the rows it read: vendor, date, amounts, VAT and any line items.
  • We work out the totals and keep the rows encrypted for 24 hours so the download link works. The key is only in your link, so we can't read the stored copy, and it's deleted after 24 hours.
  • The assistant reads the receipts, so check the amounts against the originals before you file them, and keep the receipts themselves.

Limits
